| Comments : | In the past 41 years, most of my life has been spent educating students. During those years, I have been a school superintendent, principal, college adjunct professor, teacher, coach, athletic director and consultant. Additionally, I have experience as a Realtor, sports announcer and marketing director. I attended West Virginia University and Florida State University on football scholarships after being named a high school All-American and the outstanding football player in West Virginia for 1959.
I am married to the former Diane Chaplin, daughter of Delbert and Cecelia “Celie” Chaplin, Marathon pioneers since 1952. I have two sons, two daughters, three grandsons and just recently a great grandson. (And I can't forget our two Yorkies, and two adopted “Forgotten Felines”)
