Comments :

A Florida native and full-time Keys resident, Ken's military career began with four years in the U.S. Coast Guard in Islamorada, and took him across the nation in a diverse series of assignments with Coast Guard Intelligence and the U.S. Dept of Justice. He recently retired from the DEA as Resident Agent in Charge for the Florida Keys.

Fiscal responsibility and leadership without prejudice are two things Ken promises to bring to the Sheriff's Office.

Ken is married to Heidi Landgraf-Davis. They have three children.

Education :

While serving in the Coast Guard, Ken completed the Criminal Investigators Training course in Glynco, GA. Ken earned his BS in Criminal Justice at National University in San Diego, and was working on a Masters in Public Administration when he was recruited by the DEA. Ken completed DEA Basic Agent Training and Group Supervisor Institute education in Quantico, VA.

Experience :

Ken's diverse experience in law enforcement and management includes 16 years as a Special Agent in the USCG and DEA, and 12 years in supervisory and management positions. His responsibilities ranged from undercover investigative work to planning, coordinating and leading numerous multi-agency task forces from California to the Florida Keys.

Ken has received the following awards: DEA Administrators Award for Exceptional Service in 1997 and DEA Exceptional or Special Act or Service awards in 1995, 1998, 2000, 2003 and 2005.
