Comments : Having volunteered to attend the Key Largo Wastewater Management District Board Meetings for the Tavernier Community Association, I have been impressed by the actions of the Board and Staff over this past year. I’ve decided to join in the effort to meet the State’s costly mandate. I believe my involvement in local community affairs for over a decade have provided me with the life experiences, curiosity, and recognition of the importance the community plays in the effort of meeting the 2010.5 deadline. Adding that with common sense completes my qualifications for being an independent and dependable Board Member. Education : Graduate of Ohio College of Applied Science, Cincinnati, Ohio. Certificate in Building Construction. Electronics Training, U.S. Air Force. Air Traffic Control Radar Repairman Sea School, St. Petersburg, FL. Motor Boat Operator License issued by U.S. Coast Guard. Ongoing adult education courses, Florida Keys Community College Experience : Since February 2008, attended all Key Largo Wastewater Board meetings. Trained in electronics, as a carpenter and as a boat captain, I have learned the power of exhaustive gathering of information by study and conferring with others before taking action. I have gained first hand Board experience by serving on the following: Islamorada Charter Boat Association, Served as Treasurer Founding member, Tavernier Community Association, Served as, Treasurer and President, Founding member, Island of Key Largo Federation of Homeowner Associations, Served as a Director, Presently a Member.
